There is no cost associated with the upkeep of EXP technology as there are no replicable parts.  There is no maintenance required for our D6 Series, thanks to the patented self-cleaning system built into the unit. Our D5 unit does not include the self-cleaning mechanism and we would suggest an emitter cleaning every 6-12 months with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.

You can find somewhere near 100-500 ions/cm3 indoors and closed areas. In a mountain or forest area you can find upwards of 15,000 ions/cm3. Our goal is to increase the indoor ambient space around 2,500 ions/cm3.

The type and number of units we suggest for any space is based on the volume of air moving through your HVAC system. The D6 Series is our recommendation for larger spaces since it has a patented 24/7 self cleaning system.

Our units can be installed anywhere on the supply side of your HVAC system’s plenum or ductwork. EXP units are typically powered by a low voltage line (supplied with each unit) that ties into the 24VAC powering your HVAC system; you have the option to use a two-prong plug for a regular 120 Volt wall plug, upon request. We also offer a “plug-n-play” unit for smaller spaces (500 sq ft) that does not require installation.
